For Parents · Ages 10–12
Kids don't do what you say. They do what you do.
A 10–12 year old can train in any class at 2020FIT — as long as a parent is a member and is in the room with them.
Not dropped off. With them.
If it matters enough for your kid, it matters enough for you.
How it works
That's the whole thing
You're a member.
Not your kid — you. The parent membership is the thing that makes any of this possible, and it comes first.
You're in the class.
Same class, same time, same room. Not the lobby, not the parking lot, not back later.
Any class on the regular schedule.
There is no separate kids' class to sign up for, and that's on purpose. Whatever's on the schedule, you both come to that.
See the class schedule — whatever's on it is what they can come to.
This is for you if
You'll be in the room.
- You're already a member here, or you're ready to become one
- You want your kid to watch you work, not hear you talk about working out
- You're willing to be in the room with them — every single time
- You like that there's nothing to enroll in — they just come with you
- Your kid is 10 to 12 and would rather do this with you than alone
This isn't for you if
You just need childcare.
- You want to drop your kid off and come back when it's over
- You want a kids' program with its own coach and its own time slot — we don't run one
- You're not a member and don't plan to be
- Your kid is 13 or older and wants to train on their own
None of that makes you a bad parent. It just isn't what this is. We'd rather tell you now than after you've paid.
What it costs
Your kid goes on the Under 30 plan
It's the same Under 30 plan any family member under 30 is on. A 10 year old training with you is on it too — there's no separate youth rate, because there's no separate youth program.
And yes — that's on top of your own membership. Two people training is two memberships. We're not going to dress that up as anything else.
See every plan and what it costs →There's also a punch card
If a second membership is more than you want to take on right now, ask about the punch card. We only sell it in the gym — it isn't on the website and we won't quote it here. Ask at the front desk next time you're in, or send us a message and we'll walk you through it.
Ages 13+
Teenagers follow a different rule
Once your kid is 13, they don't need you standing next to them. They take our open gym knowledge test, you approve it, and they get independent access to the open gym floor.
That's open gym — not the same thing as the 10–12 rule above. If you're not sure which one applies to your kid, just ask us.
Take the Teen Test-Out →It starts with you
Become a member, and your kid can come to class with you. That really is the whole requirement.
